Explores topics such as legal age to drink/purchase alcohol; potential alcohol related breaches of law such as drink driving, drunk and disorderly; consent (sexual assault) and the impact of a criminal record on future prospects.

This multi-agency programme provides a series of workshops focusing on different aspects of alcohol misuse such as peer pressure, law and consequences, sexually related issues (STIs, unwanted pregnancy), impact on health, well-being and future prospects, and alcohol related ASB such as hoax calls. Note that the police input is the “Alcohol and the Law” session above.

Drugs education for parents

This informative presentation provides parents with a better understanding of drugs and the risks involved in their misuse. Aimed at parents of children aged year 7 and above, it discusses some of the most common and emerging drugs. Importantly, it also provides parents with information on how to spot potential symptoms of drug misuse and how to seek support. The law around drug use and supply is also covered.

County Lines – A presentation for parents

County Lines is a term used to describe gangs, groups or drug networks that have dedicated mobile phone lines to supply drugs from urban to suburban, market and coastal town areas across the country. Children and vulnerable adults are used to do this and they use intimidation, violence and weapons to operate their networks.
This is an interactive session that explores drug related risks to children and young people, focusing on the current trending drugs in the community. Participants will have a strong understanding of the dangers, risks and consequences of drug related activity.

Drugs training for professionals

This drugs training package is aimed at professionals working with young people. It  provides information on the most popular drugs used by young people within the region as well as new drug trends.

The presentation also helps schools understand their role in searching and confiscating drugs and explains the rights schools have in dealing with this potentially difficult issue. We will also explain the law around drugs, relating to personal use of drugs and also supply as well as directing to useful local and national organisations.
