Become (formerly known as The Who Cares? Trust) has been supporting, and campaigning for, children in care and young care leavers since 1985. Our experienced spokespeople can talk authoritatively and confidently about the issues facing children in care and young care leavers. We believe it’s important to listen to children and young people and what they think about care – and that extends to media comment. We will try and facilitate links between young people and journalists when this is appropriate.

Our mission is to provide a service to address the issues affecting children and young people who have experienced abuse. We offer a supportive and therapeutic environment where children and young people, care givers and professionals can receive appropriate advice and information and share their experiences through individual and group work. As the only BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) accredited organisation in Cornwall, CLEAR counselling services work to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

Pause works with women who have experienced, or are at risk of, repeat removals of children from their care.
